RDBB .

The band RDBB (original name - " Russian Derevjashn Blues Band under Control") has appeared in a start by the beginning of 80 - ies. The band always was a certain "kitchen" orchestra, who participated everybody on the moment of record was nearby, in independence from skill to play musical instruments.

Skeleton of bunch compounded Andrej Kharisov, Alexander (Opitnij) Ivanenko, Valerij Sukhanov and wife of Andrej Kharisov, Tatjana Rakhmanina. It was time of dawn of Petersburg fate and many musicians, who were taking part in "kitchen" concerts of RDBB, became by the known musicians later.

Alone RDBB, and was not a band in today's comprehension of this word, it was leisure of youth, felt first blows of freedom. Some of the participants of RDBB were engaged by music playing only when they were gathered together at Rakhmanina's home, and did not become the musicians, some already then began to play in more professional collectives. Opitnij, for example, played to bunch GARIN & HYPERBOLOIDS together with Tsoy, Pavel Litvinov - in JUNGLE.

It was a beginning of Russian fate - revolution, time home concerts, first punks and first experiments with narcotics. The bunch has not let out any album; there are only a few amateur records.

At the end of 80 years Andrej Kharisov, Valerij Sukhanov and Tatjana Rakhmanina have left for America and the bunch discontinued it's existence. They have put up at hippie colony in West Virginia and continue to be engaged in music up to a present day, being, as though, an american incarnation of RDBB.

In the beginning of 90 - ies Alexej (Pljuha) Pljusnin has returned to Petersburg, after ten years of life in Moscow. He was a leader of the Moscow band LOLITA and periodically participant of RDBB sessions. After several years of life on Pushkinskaja 10, where he has founded first Russian rock shop Nirvana, and nearly finished tragically by addicting for a heroin, Pljuha has reduced RDBB.

On a summer residence in Beloostrov, where he with the friends lives for five months in a year in some kind of commune, RDBB continues to play and to write down music practically in the same conditions, as it was in beginning of 80 -ies. In the band, on former, take part all to whom not laziness.

The band plays mainly an improvising music of psychedelic character, it is free - jazz, executes things of the liked musicians such as King Crimson, Alice & John Coltrane, Peter Hammill, Traffic and an author's pieces of band's members.
